The best way to address the problem of diaper rash is to avoid it before it happens with a safe,
protective organic barrier between baby skin and urine/excrement. When urine and excrement
combine, an enzymatic reaction creates a highly alkaline environment which results in inflamed, red,
scaly skin and allows for an overgrowth of bacteria and yeast.

Really Fragrance Free Barrier Balm is formulated with a base of organic castor oil, a thick, occlusive oil
that has been proven effective in diaper rash prevention and in the treatment of inflammation. The
castor oil is combined with sunflower oil, which supports the development of healthy skin immune
function in babies, and whole, organic chamomile, calendula and lavender flowers, and wildcrafted
grindelia herb, extracted in organic olive oil. Non-GMO Vitamin E oil is added due to its action as a
natural skin nutrient.   Chamomile, calendula and lavender flowers are valuable as gentle anti-
inflammatory, disinfectant and healing botanicals, and grindelia herb is particularly useful in the formula
as a highly regarded treatment for rashes. Beeswax is one of nature’s most useful ingredients for
skincare, and contributes thickening, soothing and softening properties to the formula.
